Firstly , speedball is an Egyptian sport created by Dr. Mohamed Hussien Lotfy in 1960 He loved playing tennis , but the distance between his house and sports clubs was quite far So he invented a way that would enable him to play tennis in his own house And one day after the training he took a damaged ball and bind it with a wire in a pole inside his garden. And this is how speedball started. To play speedball you need the 4 following items: A Set. A Set.
Rackets. A Set.
A ball. A Set.
A reel (pully) length of the set should be 170 cm and that of the ball 150 cm while the diameter of the rackets 25 cm and its weight between 400gm and 480 gm The real question is.. Can you play tennis on your own? Or maybe ping pong ? Speedball is the only racket sport you can play on your own. you can play speedball in different places , for professional players the play in covered halls specially during tournaments but for beginners you can play in your house but for beginners you can play in your house , club but for beginners you can play in your house , club or even on the beach.. There are 3 styles of playing. Solo – playing alone Single- playing against 1 person Doubles – which is 2 against 2 Starting with the solo which is playing alone. There’s 4 positions in Solo style. Right- playing with your right hand Left – playing with your left hand Front / fore- which is playing with the internal faces of the racket Back- playing with the external faces of the racket. The idea behind it is, you play alone for a certin amount of time a refree counts how many hits you’ve hit the ball then the refree counts the 4 positions then adds them up which makes the player’s own solo score which ranks them for the individual matches. There are two different duration for the cadets ( from the age of 9 till 15) it’s 30 seconds per position and 30 seconds rest For seniors ( from the age of 16 till … ) it’s a minute per position and 30 seconds rest. and now we’ll show you the simplest way to play speedball as a beginner With this, we have finished our first tutorial about the basics of speedball and we started with the solo See you in the next tutorial about single.
